The outside.

My dad did ALL the stonework himself. All of it. More about that here and right here too.

We are really super duper in love with our covered back deck.

The Inside.

My dad also laid every single stone on our gorgeous fireplace. See the progress and the finished product here.

See more of our kitchen here.

Dining space here. And more dining room goodness right here.

Living room. Complete with a DIY Barn wood coffee table.

See our "pinterest powder room" DIY flea-market dresser to vanity. Here & and update here.

Our master bedroom:

See more of our spa-like  Master Bathroom with walk in shower.

We DIY'd our own walk-in closets. Better and cheaper and cuter than wire shelves. See more here.

See our guest bath here.

We have a handy little loft filled with flea market finds.
More of the catwalk and loft!

Our Mirror gallery wall is growing every time I hit a good sale:

  2. Oh, wow, I just love both your blog and your project! I, too, am in my late twenties and building my first house with my husband. We're in southwestern Wisconsin, though, and both my blog and building project are in their infancy. I will be checking up on your project from time to time!

  3. I just stumbled upon your blog! My husband and I are in our late twenties and building our home as well! I just started blogging about our experience to share with our family and friends, as well as a keepsake for us to look back on when this crazy process is over. We aren't very far with construction yet - have our foundation done, but that's about it. I love your projects and hope to be posting some of our own as our site gets moving. I'll keep checking back to see how your amazing house is coming along.

  5. Nice to see you're all on your way there. Kudos! If there is any problem, you can always get back at the blueprint, and maybe find your solutions on whichever level. Build from that, either with software, or instinct, or sound advice. Sending well wishes to an otherwise remarkable project.
